So to begin with boilies and you guys who produce them you are all used to the old fashion shelf life mix which is semolina, soya flour and ground rice all good but now rubbish.

You might have wondered how to make boilies like the professionals e.g. Mainline, Dynamite, Cotswold, Richworth etc well In some short steps in the following blog I will teach you how to do that exactly, How does this guy know what he is talking about? Well I have been working in a health shop for a year now selling muscle products and other natural stuff but myself have always wanted to be the one to make one of those super baits like The Cell, Spicy Shrimp and prawn, Tiger nut, Activ8 but could never get those ingredients just right innless I buy their base mix which defeats the object of homemade boilies, so to begin ladies and Gentlemen on telling you the secret and success to making the best boilies possible.

Step 1

The ingredients for the base mix and tools needed to make boilies.

Ingredients:

Semolina

Soya Flour (Organic)

Whey Protein (Buy this from health store in tub for working out about £36.99 for 2kg buy vanilla flavour as this flavour can be over powered very easily by adding anything else you want)

Amino acid Tablets (Buy from Health store cheap)

Optional Oils: (Available from mainline)

Ultra Marine Oil

Fosoil

Flavouring from health store (Organic or natural herb extracts are the best)

Colouring (Tesco)

Tap Water (too boil in saucepan)

 

‘Notice I didn’t add Ground rice and used whey protein, this will be the high protein high efficiency easy digestible part of the meal for the fish ;) <<<Secret Ingredient.

Tools needed:

Bait master table from Gardner (Make sure to have screws and screwdriver to keep tight to surface)

Boilie Gun (Must have)

Saucepan (To boil the boilies)

Fork, Spoon, Wooden spoon

Gas cooker (I would buy a cheap camping one to start off until you get the hang of things, it gets messy)

Towel (Too dry off boilies)

Air Dry Bag (Optional)

 

“Make life easy for yourself”

 

Step2

Well now I have told you the secret Ingredient you can put it in to action (If haven’t noticed WHEY PROTIEN is the secret Ingredient)

Also Amino Acid is a well kept secret and it is vital that you buy amino acid tablets crush them up and add them to the mix.

Ok so to begin Start by putting the following in a plastic bag:

8oz Semolina
4oz
Whey Protein

4oz Soya Flour

6 crushed amino acid tablets

“Blow the Bag up letting air into it then hold tight and shake”

After doing this add a quarter of the mix to the bowl then crack an egg over it and start mixing making sure you have mixed every bit then add the next quarter 2/4 and crack another egg and mix again.

 

“Now for the colour and flavour”

Ok now you can add as much of that colour you want depending on how dark or light you want it (Remember Bright works in summer and dark in winter) to be and then give another mix then add the flavouring, don’t overdo it as you could make it so strong that the fish won’t want to know but also make sure it is strong enough to reach the fishes sent at a distance.

 

“Let’s get stuck in!”

Add the rest of the mix to the bowl add your third egg then get mixing like mad, until it gets so stiff that you have to get stuck in with your hands and sort it all out hopefully you will be able to be patient with the mix and keep going don’t give up on remember you are holding the world’s best boilie mix in your hands and you made it so persistence will be needed, when you start to feel like it is just too sticky and stiff on your hand’s sprinkle some soya flower over one hand then pass the mix over to that hand and then put soya flower on the other hand so you are able to pass it over to the other hand and it won’t stick and then sprinkle soya flower over the ball of mix and you should be able to pass it back and forth in your hands without it sticking because of the flour which makes the mix anti stick.

Step3

Ok so we have now finished the boring step let’s get on with the work.

“Start rolling the boilies”

·         Get your ball of mix

·         Put it in the tube of the gun

·         Start to compress the tube so you can see the mix about to come out

·         Add some oil to the bait master columns (so boilie mix doesn’t stick Olive oil is best)

·         Apply the mix to the bait master like a sausage going across the columns

·         Start Rolling and watch your boilies pop out from the bottom

Step4

Turn the gas on and get that water at boiling temperature so you can add your boilies so they develop a skin.

Put boilies in water for about 35 seconds or longer if you want to have harder boilies but 35 is for average strength, after you have done this pull boilies out with spoon and put on to towel.

“Let’s hang them up for drying”

Put all the boilies after an hour on the towel into an air dry bag hang up on the washing line for half an hour so we don’t completely loose all moisture.

Now put all boilies into packaging, try to let as less air as possible in the bag with boilies, after doing this throw them in the freezer and use them when needed, let them stand for 24 hours in freezer then ready to use to catch all the big ones out there like you never have before.
